Player Squads

Squads will be taking over the old functionality of 'groups' from the previous version of RtD; squads act very much the same with a few exceptions.

Syntax: squad <arg>

The valid arguments to use with the squad command are:

  • open <name> - establishes yourself as the leader of a squad. If you have applied to another squad then you will automatically abandon your application to lead your own squad. If you are already a member of another squad then you must first resign from that squad to open your own.
  • apply <#> - puts in an application to a squad. Apply using the squad id number that's shown in the 'squad show' listing. If you have already applied to another squad then your original application will be discarded when you apply to a new squad. Applying to the same squad twice will discard your original application.
  • enlist <player> - enlists an applicant into your squad. A player must first apply to the squad before you can enlist them.
  • up - like the enlist command, but automatically enlists all applicants in the order that they applied until your squad is full. Replaces the 'group all' command set.
  • boot <player> - removes a player from your squad.
  • resign - remove yourself from a squad. If you are a squad leader and you resign, your squad will be automatically disbanded.
  • disband - disbands a squad. Can be used by squad leaders ONLY.
  • show - shows all currently operating squads and their members. Use this to find the unique squad ID for applying to a squad.
  • stat - shows player statistics for your current squad. Can be used by squad members ONLY.

Squads are currently limited to a maximum size of four (4) players. When fighting zombies in a squad, the killer of a zombie will receive full credit for the kill - all other members in the squad will receive 50% of the killer's credit as long as a) they are not in a peaceful room (SAFEHOUSE), and b) in the same zone as the killer. *NOTE: Squad kill credit will be subject to change at my discretion. -Ben

Autofollow

Syntax: autofollow

The autofollow command toggles on/off automatically following your squad leader as they move.
